Big Bear Choppers
Venom Pro-Street
(4 1/2 out of 5 stars)

This is another high scoring bike in my book. In fact of all the bikes I’ve reviewed, it is one of the closest I’ve seen to what I would personally buy/build.

Although it has the over used softail frame, they added a nice sweeping twin tube swing arm that flows with the rest of the design. The single beefy down tube is a real plus as well.

The tank resembles a one piece fat bob with just the right amount of stretch and a nice bottom slope that mirrors the dimensions of the arc on the swing arm. It hugs the frame and is one of the cleanest designs I could imagine for that frame.

The stance of the bike is very long and low which is a real nice change from the builders who want to see how long they can make the front forks. Nothing looks out of place or slapped on. This bike was well thought out including something the other guys fail to think about, passenger pegs.

Everything on the bike seems to add to the last part and nothing looks over the top or out of place. If you look at the angle on the front of the oil tank and the angle of the slightly arcing single down tube on the frame you can see that the 100 cubic inch Merch engine was planned to fit just right. That’s the sign that they designed this bike looking at every detail and component and not just what they may have had around the shop at the time.

If this bike had a few minor changes it would be perfect. Personally I would like to see the mag rims replaced with spokes, a longer stretched head light, adding some matching paint to the lower legs and head light bucket, and slightly smaller mirrors. If these things were done you would have the perfect bike IMHO.

When I start my bike build you can bet I’ll be calling up BBC and placing an order for that front fender.
